Hello everyone! I know it has been forever since I've posted. Heck, I think this might be the first post of 2015. Apparently I'm a blogger slacker, lol.

Why have I been too busy to blog? Well, let me tell you some of the things I've been up to.

Last November I published my children's book about bald eagles. It is titled "The Journey of a Bald Eagle Family In the Hudson Valley". It is a children's picture book geared towards children in the 4-10 year old age range. The story tells describes the cycle of mom laying new eggs, learning about their hatching, how the babies grow and progress and the types of things they experience when they fledge and learn how to make it out there on their own. 

Once I completed that project, I started working on my second project which is a "Bald Eagle Coffee Table Book". It is a book that contains 41 images of bald eagles of various ages and it was published last week. A majority of the eagles in the book are eagles in the wild (in their natural state). A couple of the images (the ones with the American Flag) are of an eagle who can not be released in the wild and is used for educational purposes.

In addition to getting my two books published, I created a FB page for the children's book and I created a website for myself as an author. This website has information about both books, bald eagles and myself. If your interested in checking it out, the url is: www.debquick.com.

Lastly, I've also been working on creating products for my zazzle store. As of today I have roughly 2500 products available. I created these products from my own images: eagles, hawks, falcons, dogs, cats, flowers, horses, hot air balloons, etc. There are tons of products to choose from: postcards, greeting cards, puzzles, playing cards, canvas prints, regular prints, sleeves and cases for gadgets, business cards, labels, magnets, gift bags, etc..... In my spare time from working at my full time job and working on products based off my images, I am out in the field looking for wildlife to photograph. My biggest interest is observing and photographing bald eagles, hawks and other birds of prey. However, I am not picky and will photograph anything I find interesting. Here is a shot I got this afternoon of a bald eagle with a fish!
