Wow, this has been an incredibly awesome weekend. I've been in Maryland since Friday with a bunch of my eagle photography friends and we've been having a blast. We've been spending all day, everyday, at the Conowingo Dam watching the Bald Eagles and other birds in the area. The activity at the dam today was absolutely amazing. So amazing, that I'm not even sure I can put it into words. Eagles were catching fish and other eagles were chasing and trying to snatch their fish. There were little scuffs in the air and chases. It was absolutely amazing. The way the eagles dove down to the water to catch the fish was amazing. At one point, I had an adult dive down head first for a split second and somehow, I managed to capture it. I haven't really gone through many of my photo's as I have taken roughly 1000 pics a day and today is now day 3, so I think it will take me a while. However, I do think this dive down is probably going to my favorite of all my shots. And don't be scared, I'm not going to keep or post all those photo's, I'll only keep and share with you all the "best of the best".
I've decided to call the photo I'm posting today: "Dive, Dive, Dive". There is a very logical reason for this...... yesterday when at the dam people were yelling out all different types of this and at one point all we heard was... dive, dive, dive. Well, there you have it... this eagle decided to dive!!! :-)
Hope you all enjoy! Have a great night!
