This past weekend was absolutely amazing as I got to test out my new lens at my local spots and get lots of fantastic photo's. I was out and about all day Saturday and Sunday and had two awesome days!

On Saturday I went down to Newburgh with my buddy, Bob, to photograph waterfowl before hitting up some of my favorite spots in Dutchess County. Our time in Newburgh was a lot of fun as we ran into two other photog friends and we got to photograph a nice variety of waterfowl. There were mallard ducks, hybrid ducks, wood ducks, geese, and gulls. This was my first opportunity at photographing wood ducks and so I was super excited. They were absolutely beautiful.

My blog pic for today is of one of the wood ducks who was stretching and flapping his wings. What a beauty! It was so exciting that I plan to go back again with some photog friends this coming weekend!
