I knew today was going to be a gorgeous February day with lots of sunshine and temps reaching a high of 60, so I planned a day full of stops along the Hudson River to look for bald eagles and other wildlife. I hit 4 different stops before 12:00 when I finally stopped and stayed at my final destination for the remainder of the day.

The first couple of hours were rather slow as there was no close up action, mostly birds of prey flying too distant for pics. Finally at 2:30 there was a little action. Then again around 5:00 there was some really good eagle action. All close, providing excellent opportunity for fantastic photographs. By the time the day ended I had taken over 600 pics. Many of which are pretty awesome.

I have yet to get through all of my pics from today, but so far one of my favorite's is of a "Fluffed Bald Eagle". Therefore, I could not resist sharing this shot from today!

Although the day started of slow, it finished with a bang... making it all completely worth it!
