March 10, 2014 - Day 22

Last night was brutal as I had a tough night sleep. Got a couple hrs in and then woke and tossed and turned for several hours before dosing back off. My Monday morning was brutal and not exactly the best way to begin the work week. A majority of the day was spent working, yet I found time after work to squeeze in time to observe and photograph the Eagles. Then I met up with some high school girlfriends for dinner. As always, dinner with the girls was a hoot as there was so much laughter. We don't get the opportunity to get together often enough, but when we do get together we make up for that time in the middle. For a day that started off rough due to my lack of sleep last night, it sure did turn into a pretty awesome day. As always, I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life!

The Bald Eagle! What a magnificent bird. I've been having so much fun observing and photographing bald eagle's. I'm really fascinated by their behaviors and how beautiful and graceful they are. They are incredibly difficult to capture in flight and I think what I like most is the challenging aspect of getting a good photo of them. Honestly, I would wait patiently out in the cold for hours every day just to try and get a great a great photograph of them. Here's a nice shot I got of one carrying a stick!
