I would like to begin my blog by wishing my sweet lil Bandit a Happy 7th Birthday! I can't believe how quickly time goes by and the fact that I've had my little guy for so many wonderful years! 

The weather was really nice today in comparison to what we have been having. Partly (very partly) sunny and highs in the low 40's. This is the warmest it has been in a while. Due to it being so nice, I thought I would get out with my camera and try to get some pics of Bald Eagle's. At first I went to a park in Croton, but I didn't see anything there. A couple of nice women sent me to another park just further north and it was like hitting the jackpot. There were so many Eagle's there as well as many people coming and going throughout the day. A couple of the people I ran into were awesome people I had previously met while trying to photograph Eagle's in Dutchess County. It was fun and educational spending time with them and I hope I'll run into them more often. Between watching the Bald Eagle's and talking to people who have been watching them for years, I've been learning a lot about the beautiful birds.

At one point there were 21 Eagle's. A few adults and the remainder were Juvenile's (a term I learned today, meaning young eagle). Juvenile's are mostly all brown or may have some white markings on their underside. While watching the Eagle's today, they spent the majority of the day sitting in the tees, but periodically one would fly. Later in the afternoon, the Juvenile's were flying around and being playful. It was really amazing to watch.
