Over the past couple of weeks I've been patiently waiting for "peak fall" to arrive here in Ticonderoga. My expectation was that with all these mountains around (full of trees) peak fall would be absolutely stunning. However, I regret to say that Ticonderoga was never taken over with all those gorgeous colors. I saw a lot of the color change while driving in and out of Schroon Lake, however I couldn't stop anywhere during those times because it was either on the way to work in the morning or rushing to get back in the evening to get the kids from school. I went out in Ti a few times during my lunch break over the past week and I never really found anything that "caught my eye". Sadly, I haven't really gotten any stunning fall pics this year, but I did get a nice shot of Lake Champlain today from Mount Defiance. The weather was really nice today and the sky was a beautiful blue with some really awesome texture from the clouds. Now the only sad thing is that I had to sit in my car and get as close to the local Motel as possible to mooch internet service and get my post uploaded. One of the "joys" of small town living! I'm not so sure "gadget girl" can deal much longer with no evening internet access!
